What’s the difference between Coming Soon Page Mode and Maintenance Mode?

Coming Soon Page Mode returns a http status 200 and allows your site to be indexed by Google and other searching engine while under construction. You should always using Coming Soon Page mode when your site is under construction.

Maintenance Mode returns a http status code 503 and should be used when you are doing short term maintenance on an existing site. This will let search engines know your site is under going maintenance and should return in 1 day when maintenance mode is finished.

Who can see the website while it’s under construction?

Only logged in visitors can see the website while you website is under construction. Logged out visitors will see the coming soon page or maintenance mode page depending on which mode you have selected.

Disabled Coming Soon Plugin and it still shows

This is always a caching issue. Go to the caching plugin’s setting page and clear the cache.

I have used it on a number of websites over a number of years for developing and found it useful. Recently though I ran into something that concerns me. One was a private website. It was on a subdomain of a public website. I had watched the traffic through the years. No one had "found" it. It wasn't indexed or linked anywhere. It was only used by a small non-profit staff. I had some changes to make to it and used this plugin, when all of the sudden it was "found" by bots from all over the world. Not good bots either. Thank goodness for Wordfence. I thought, "odd..." but it is just possible that it was just found randomly. Then a month later I had to set up a new WordPress installation in a hidden directory for some development (completely different domain/server/company). I installed your plugin and within hours, the bots found it. Two websites that should not have any traffic at all. This plugin is calling "home" and doing goodness knows what with that information. I won't be using it again.

With the new version my old maintenance mode announcement was gone, had to create a template for a simple function that was easily to activate with just a mouse click before. But it is complete garbage since it doesn't even work! Maintenance mode is activated but customers still manage to place orders and also complain about seeing a reCaptcha on the homepage instead of the maintenance announcement (which I see). So bad! It was a great plugin but someone needed to make it "better". Stupid nonsense.

So many options are there, only if you buy pro. For free version user, only 3 template available(only 1 for coming soon, 1 for maintenance mood and 1 for another category. That's all) there. Why giving free then? Just to advertise you plugin? Make it pro. People will buy it if it is so good. Don't make people fool by advertising it as free and giving nothing in return

I updated this plugin today to find that there are now a multitude of additional menu items, upsells, and changes that now makes this more than a "Coming Soon" plugin. While this may be considered a great new addition by the developers, we'll be looking for a different Maintenance Mode plugin that doesn't come with all the additional bloat that this plugin now has. I don't think it's forthcoming to jam these additional features and advertisements into the same plugin that used to be a Coming Soon/Maintenance Mode plugin just so they could try to upsell new Landing Page features without having to promote a new plugin. Furthermore, the SeedProd menu item (and all of these additional sub-menu items) are now visible to the Shop Manager role by default. Before they were not, so if you have Shop Managers logging into your site that shouldn't have access to the maintenance mode option, you should uninstall this plugin.

I hate the new version 6.0.7. I used to like this plugin because it was easy to set up a nice looking maintenance page. Now, the interface is confusing and difficult to use. I'll be uninstalling it.
