Food Labels PDF for WooCommerce lets food businesses generate compliant product labels as PDF files directly from their WooCommerce orders — no design software needed.
If you sell food products online (artisan foods, bakery, charcuterie, jams, sauces, supplements…) and need to print ingredient and allergen labels for each shipment, this plugin does it in one click from the order screen.
How it works
- Set up your ingredients — Go to Print Labels > Ingredients & Allergens and create your ingredient catalogue with allergen associations.
- Assign to products — Open any WooCommerce product and assign its ingredients in the new “Ingredients” tab.
- Print from orders — Open any order and click Print Product Labels (PDF). Done.

Instalação
- Install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins > Add New screen, or upload the ZIP manually.
- Activate the plugin. A welcome notice will appear with the quick-start guide.
- Go to Print Labels FREE > Company Info and enter your food operator name and address.
- Go to Print Labels FREE > Ingredients & Allergens and create your ingredients, marking which allergens each one contains.
- Edit your WooCommerce products and assign ingredients in the Ingredients tab.
- Open any order and click Print Product Labels (PDF).
IMPORTANT: This plugin requires WooCommerce to be installed and active.

I just installed the plugin — where do I start?

Three steps: (1) Print Labels FREE > Company Info — add your business name and address. (2) Print Labels FREE > Ingredients & Allergens — create your ingredient list and mark allergens. (3) Edit each WooCommerce product and assign its ingredients in the new “Ingredients” tab. After that, open any order and click “Print Product Labels (PDF)”.

How is the batch number generated?

Automatically from the order creation date (format YYYYMMDD-N, where N increments for each order on the same day). You do not need to manage batch numbers manually.

Can I use this with variable products (e.g. different flavours or sizes)?

The FREE version uses the parent product’s ingredient list for all variations. The Premium version lets you assign a different ingredient list to each variation independently.

How many labels fit on a page?

The PDF is A4, portrait, with 5 labels per page. Border width and spacing between labels are configurable in Settings.

Does the label include my company information?

Yes. Go to Print Labels FREE > Company Info and fill in your business name, address, and food operator details. This information appears on every label.

Is there a watermark on the free version?

No. The free version generates clean, professional labels with no watermark and no limits on the number of PDFs.

Does it comply with EU food labelling regulation 1169/2011?

The free version covers the core mandatory fields: ingredients, allergens, batch number, and expiry date. The Premium version adds net weight and conservation/consumption instructions, completing the full list of mandatory particulars for pre-packaged foods under EC Regulation 1169/2011.

Can I print labels for an order with multiple products?

Yes. The plugin generates one label per product line in the order, all in a single PDF.

How do I add ingredients to a product?

First go to Print Labels FREE > Ingredients & Allergens to build your ingredient catalogue. Then open any WooCommerce product, go to the Product data panel, and find the Ingredients tab that the plugin adds. Select the ingredients that belong to that product.

All ingredients, allergens, and label configuration are preserved. You only need to install the Premium plugin and enter your licence key.
