The Members Plugin allows you to create lists of users and display them as directories on your wordpress blog. Each list is fully customizable with features like search, search by radius, sort, map of users, paging, and more. Choose which fields you want to display for each user and which fields you allow users to search and sort by.

  • Upload the members-list folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  • Active o plugin no menu Plugins
  • Navigate to your WordPress blog’s theme folder which should be found in /wp-content/themes/the-name-of-your-theme
  • Add the shortcode to the page or post you’d like to display the members list.
  • You’re all set!

When I click on a members link it goes no where. Why?

The FREE Members List Plugin does not handle your templates. WordPress allows you to create a template file called “author.php” which should be placed in your theme’s folder. It is this file that handles the displaying of each of your members. You can read about how to create this file here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Author_Templates

Key feature of plugin does not work

The search by zip code does not work. The president of the company was condescending and unhelpful when we reached out for support for the plugin that does not work as advertised. He then stopped replying to us completely. Basic features are hidden behind a steep paywall and the demo of the plugin on their site doesn't even show the features that are supposed to be included with the free version. This plugin is a complete mess do not waste your time.

I had a small issue with some SQL Errors displaying after I updated the plugin software. I sent a message to the developer and they responded back almost immediately with code to fix the problem. I was very impressed with their support and even more impressed with the speed they responded! Highly recommend any of their plugins!

I am using the Members List plugin (Pro version) for a client since over a year now and it works just fine, we are very happy with it. We use it to list medical doctors specializing in a specific field, so that patients can find a therapist close to their homes. Members List has been running fine just from the beginning. Only over time some little problems occurred, mostly due to the geographical location we are using it in: Germany (and: in German language, which means: specific characters, ö, ä, ü, ß...). Each time I contacted support my problem was solved within a few hours, sometimes even by adding some extra feature to accommodate our needs. The author really walks that extra mile it needs to get things going - thanks a lot!
