The plugin is compatible with custom roles and new links in the sidebar of the admin panel and you can also set a custom URL to redirect the user.

Instalação
- Upload plugin files to your plugins folder, or install using WordPress built-in Add New Plugin installer;
- Activate the plugin;
- Navigate to Settings -> Redirect After Login

Doesn't appear to work correctly with latest version of wp. I'm also using Paid Membership Pro Roles, extending my user roles. For whatever reason, this plugin worked when you redirect was first added but then failed after that.

Sorry guys, I appreciate it's a free plugin but it doesn't work - information pasted into the redirect url field doesn't get saved and the page dropdown is grayed out - so completely unusable, unfortunately.

Despite a bunch of old bad reviews I wanted to give this plugin a try as I noticed that was recently updated and guess what. It does exactly what it says in the tin. It redirects to whatever custom URL. Well Done guys.

Installed & activated without problem. Assigned different start pages for various rolls. Works as expected on remote and local servers.
