GuardPic Image Credit Checker

Descrição

GuardPic Image Credit Checker is a free WordPress plugin that helps site owners, bloggers, publishers and content teams review Media Library images and identify images that may be missing approved credit wording.

The plugin includes a professional admin dashboard, a dedicated scan and findings page, a settings page for custom credit phrases and an upgrade comparison page for GuardPic Starter and GuardPic Pro.

The admin interface includes seven languages:

  • French
  • Russian
  • Chinese

Hebrew and Arabic include RTL display support.

Important: GuardPic is a technology tool for identifying potential image credit and rights risks. It does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee protection from copyright claims.

Privacy

By default, the plugin does not send anonymous usage reporting data to GuardPic.

The settings page includes an optional checkbox that allows the site owner to enable anonymous installation and basic usage reporting. When enabled, the plugin may send basic technical metadata to GuardPic servers, including the plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version, selected interface language, active theme, multisite status, selected scan fields and basic scan/finding counters. The report does not include the site URL, home URL or admin email address.

The free plugin does not send passwords, payment details or image files as part of this optional usage reporting.

This optional reporting helps GuardPic understand free plugin adoption and improve product quality.

GuardPic Cloud plans

The plugin may show information about optional GuardPic Cloud plans. These plans are separate services hosted outside WordPress.org and provide cloud processing workflows such as OCR, AI risk analysis, external comparison, quarantine workflows, scheduled background scans, reports and alerts. The WordPress.org plugin remains fully functional for its included local Media Library credit checks without requiring a license key.

External services

This plugin can optionally connect to the GuardPic service at https://app.guardpic.com/ for anonymous installation and basic usage reporting. This reporting is disabled by default and is only used if the site administrator enables it in the plugin settings.

When enabled, the plugin sends a lightweight report to https://app.guardpic.com/wp-json/guardpic/v1/free-install/report. The report may include an anonymous installation UUID, plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version, selected interface language, active theme name/version, multisite status, event type, selected scan fields and basic scan/finding counters. The report does not include the site URL, home URL or admin email address.

The plugin does not send passwords, payment details or private image files as part of this optional reporting.
