Most sites handle live streaming by pasting a YouTube embed and hoping for the best. Visitors land on a black box that says “offline”, with no idea when the next broadcast starts.
Legacy MediaTech Live Schedule fixes that. Set your weekly schedule once, and your site handles the rest:
- Live Player block: shows your stream while you are on air, and a branded off-air screen with a live countdown to the next program when you are not. It switches on its own, for every visitor, without a page reload.
- Program Schedule block: your weekly lineup, with “On now” and “Up next” highlighted automatically.
- Live Badge block: a small pulsing “Live now” badge for your header or menu that only appears while you are broadcasting.
- One-click override: force ON AIR for breaking news or a special event, or force OFF AIR if a broadcast is cancelled.

- YouTube: a channel link always shows whatever that channel is live-streaming right now
- Vimeo live events and videos
- Facebook Live
- HLS (.m3u8) and MP4 streams from vMix, OBS, Wowza, Cloudflare Stream, AWS, Mux and similar
- Any other https embed player page
Works with any theme
Legacy MediaTech Live Schedule inherits your theme’s fonts and picks up its color palette. Its styles are scoped so they never change the rest of your site. It works with block themes and classic themes, and with page builders like Divi, Elementor and Beaver Builder through shortcodes:

Page caching friendly
Pages can be fully cached. The player asks a tiny REST endpoint (/wp-json/legacy-mediatech-live-schedule/v1/status) for the current state every 30 seconds.

When you paste a link from one of these platforms, the Live Player embeds that platform’s player in your page:

Instalação
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to Legacy MediaTech Live Schedule in your dashboard, paste your stream link and add your weekly programs.
- Add the Live Player block (or the
[legacy_live_player]shortcode) to your “Watch Live” page.

Does it detect when I actually start streaming?

Version 0.1 follows your schedule and the manual ON AIR / OFF AIR switch. Developers can plug in automatic detection with the
legacy_live_statusfilter. -
Which time zone does the schedule use?

Your site’s time zone (Settings > General). Visitors see the “Up next” time converted to their own local time.

Can I change the colors?

Yes. The player follows your theme’s primary color. To pick your own, add CSS such as
.legacy-mediatech-live-schedule-player { --ll-accent: #0a7cff; --ll-live: #e0182d; }. -
Does the plugin contact any outside service?

The plugin itself does not. The player loads the video platform you choose (for example YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook) inside your page, only while you are on air. That platform’s own privacy policy applies to that player.
